Pollinators Project

Let’s get those bees buzzing.

Pollinators are vital to life on earth. From bees and butterflies to countless other beneficial insects, they ensure healthy ecosystems, thriving agriculture, and vibrant communities. The State College Sunrise Rotary Pollinator Special Committee is committed to protecting these unsung heroes through education, action, and advocacy.

What We Do

  • Educate & Inspire: We bring pollinator knowledge to our community through educational activities and short “pollinator moments” at Rotary meetings—sparking curiosity and action.
  • Create & Protect Habitats: From native planting projects to pollinator gardens, we identify and promote opportunities to restore and enhance spaces where pollinators can thrive.
  • Advocate & Partner: We collaborate with other organizations to promote pollinator-friendly practices and policies that reduce harmful pesticides and strengthen biodiversity.
  • Mobilize Resources: Through fundraising and partnerships, we secure the support needed to turn conservation ideas into real community impact.
  • Lead with Innovation: Staying current with research and best practices, we adapt and share the latest strategies for pollinator health and conservation.

Why It Matters

Pollinators are essential to food security, environmental sustainability, and community well-being. By protecting them, we’re protecting our future.
